A Brief History of Goshen
Settled in 1714, Goshen has deep historic roots. It’s home to the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, celebrating the town’s legacy in standardbred horse racing.
In fact, the Goshen Historic Track is the oldest continually operating horse racing facility in North America, opened in 1838. Additionally, the downtown area has well-preserved historic architecture, with beautiful old buildings and churches.
